Release 3.1

In this latest major update to the platform we are introducing:

  • PDF Preview shows how an exported contract will look with just one click.
  • Defined Data View lets you immediately see / edit a contract's tagged data.
  • The Contract Library and Contract Builder have been expanded, allowing bulk imports, deeper integration into the Whitespace Platform, and more.
  • Facility agreements are easier for Brokers to manage, and can be shared between broker teams, expired, or set as inactive.

Release 3.0

In this latest major update to the platform we are introducing:

Questionnaires help brokers give useful data and details to underwriters that could otherwise be absent from contracts.

The Contract Library permits users to create a library of standard headings, clauses, and wordings for easy repeat use.

The Contract Builder lets brokers quickly build a contract/template from Library items and ensure it remains up to date.

Release 2.20

In this latest major update to the platform we are introducing:

Template managers can now make templates available to multiple teams.

Brokers can select how visible underwriters’ stamps are to other underwriters on the same contract.

Add sections to an unsectioned Bindable Quote or shown firm order.

Release 2.19

This release introduces new functionality to support brokers being able to correct bound contracts, subject to underwriter acceptance, without issuing a full endorsement.

Text formatting has been substantially enhanced.

Users with multiple accounts can switch between them without logging out and back in.

Patch Release 2.18.4

Changes have been made to the recipients of email notifications resulting from the stamp correction process.

The change means only the owners of risks and other users subscribed to a risk will receive stamp correction notifications, not all members of a team as it was previously.

Release 2.18

This release brings further stamp correction functionality to users and introduces a new self-support tooltips feature.

Underwriters can, with broker approval, correct the stamp on an unsigned written line in the event of an error relating to the stamp applied at firm order.

Brokers may also, with underwriter approval, remove a written line from firm order such that the order can be reshown as appropriate.

Further enhancements have been made to mirror stamp functionality in the platform and the ability to suggest stamps on declarations to allow greater flexibility for customers.

Release 2.17

Signed contracts can now be rolled back to firm orders. Contracts declared to a facility can be shown to multiple leaders for quoting. Brokers can increase a notify party’s declaration line up to their facility written line (where it was previously limited to the signed amount), without requiring specific approval.

Release 2.16

Introducing the new Insert Content tool for 'drag and drop' functionality when creating and editing contracts, along with a new feature enabling brokers to export and import draft contracts and templates between teams and environments.

Release 2.15

This release introduces new functionality to support verticalised terms on declaration contracts and a new MRC v3 checking service to assist the production of MRC v3 compliant contracts.

Release 2.14

In this latest release the defined data tagging system has gained new functionality, in-line attachments can now optionally be exported at the start of a PDF rather than at the end, user-defined custom activities provide increased flexibility for integrated systems and more..

Release 2.13

This release sees the introduction of our new Broking Partners functionality designed to allow brokers from different organisations to share risks with each other. Release 2.10

Release 2.9

In this release we have brought in Bindable Quotes for brokers and underwriters, meaning subjectivity handling is managed further up the negotiation chain in the platform. 

There are also changes to the MI reports to support this new functionality as well as tracking defined data within contracts.  It is also now possible to lock entire contracts in one click as well as individual lines on a contract as per the original functionality. This applies to defined data tags as well as contract text.

Release 2.8

This release brings in the functionality to make changes to underwriting participants mid-term.

Release 2.7.1

This release is aimed at brokers who wish to integrate with Whitespace. There have been significant enhancements to the stamp identifiers within the platform, enabling critical stamp detail to be read predicitably.

This release has several declaration functionality enhancements:

Release 2.6

This release has several great new features and several enhancements to existing features.

Release 2.5

This release has several new usability features as well as improving the data capabilities further:
You can now apply a greater range of defined data tags to ensure your contracts are both CDR compliant and GPM compatible.

Two new API calls give you access to the tagged data in a contract.
You can now compare any two contracts that are visible to you, including older contracts.
Brokers have better control over which stamps an underwriter sees on a verticalized contract.
The platform’s help panel has been expanded and improved.
The process of sending a risk to team members for secondary approval is now known as “Internal Review” and offers more options when choosing reviewers.

Release 2.4

This release brings in:
New effortless ‘Outline’ contracts which are lightweight risk records intended to hold the actual contract as an attachment, whilst still supporting the standard Whitespace Platform placing process.

(1) Brokers can choose how and when to share attachments with specific underwriters on a case-by-case basis. The user guide is here

(2) Attachments can be replaced, deleted (if not shared), linked to endorsements, and have their history viewed. The user guide is here to replace and delete attachments, and here for linking them to endorsements.

(3) When exporting a contract to PDF, attachments can be placed before the contract as well as after it. The user guide is here

(4) Brokers have the option of manually marking a quote as NTU (not taken up). The user guide is here

Release 2.3

In this release we’ve given platform administrators the ability to manage invites for their users to the platform, meaning they no longer need to request assistance from the Whitespace Support team...

Release 2.2.1

This release introduces the concept of “in-line attachments”. This means a broker can upload a pdf to a contract without digitising, reference it within the contract, and it be appended to the end of the contract.

Release 2.1.0

7th January brings our first release of 2022. This release is an update to our facilities functionality with the ability to section a facility as well as a declaration. There are also several small updates to other functionality, all detailed here in the release notes.

Release 2.0

We are delighted that the Whitespace platform has been updated to Release 2.0. This major update means that brokers and underwriters can tag key data items within a Whitespace contract unobtrusively, adding important structure which will enable more streamlined integration and enhance reporting capabilities.

Release 1.6.4

In this release we give brokers the ability to correct the signings on a risk, and underwriters also have the ability to update a reference after signing too.

Release 1.6.3

This release sees the introduction of structured quoting for brokers and underwriters, and the introduction of button stamps as part of that process.
There is also the addition of a “download all” button for attachments as well as several other small improvements and bug fixes.

Release 1.6.1

This release is a follow up to the recent inbox redesign and has brought in a couple of additional UI features.

Release 1.6

This release brings a new style of inbox where our brokers and underwriters can navigate their way around the platform more quickly and see which risks need their attention more easily.

There are also updates to the endorsement functionality, with a new endorsement type and the ability to clone endorsements across sections.

We have quick videos to help navigate the new inbox for both browser and iOS versions.

This release sees the introduction of optional contract authorisation functionality at a team level for both brokers and underwriters.

Release 1.4.5

In this release we've added the ability to insert tables into a Whitespace contract.

Brokers and underwriters can add tables to contracts and endorsements by selecting the ‘Edit’ and ‘Insert Table’ buttons within a line item.

Tables can be copied from Excel spreadsheets and pasted directly into Whitespace.

New and existing tables can be edited directly in Whitespace.

New option to add multiple text boxes to improve text formatting with tables.

Release 1.4.3

This release contains updates to our Verticals Functionality, with the main highlights being:

Enhancement to allow users to press and hold a line item on iOS to open an edit menu with options to edit text, create vertical terms or assign carriers.

Enhancement to Firm Orders which have already been shown to support the creation of new Vertical Terms on headings were not previously verticalised.

There are several other small enhancements and bug fixes to both browser and iOS versions of the platform which you can read in the full release notes available here
