Auton, the inaugural Whitespace Automation implementation
Our customers derive the greatest value when they integrate with various technology solutions. Whitespace automation, driven from a Whitespace digital contract, including appetite matching for underwriters and brokers, Auto-Refer, Auto-Decline and Auto-Agree (auto-follow and auto-lead) are prime examples of this.
We’re delighted to have collaborated with McGill to develop the Lloyd's market's first fully digital cross-class auto-follow broker facility. Utilising our customisable rules engine combined with the Whitespace Platform, Auton offers intelligent automatic risk selection. It is a component of McGill and Partners' exclusive digital and data-driven broking platform, Underscore, and provides access to participating carriers via a dynamic dashboard developed in collaboration with Moody's.
Tim Rayner, President of Specialty Business Solutions at Verisk, said: "Auton demonstrates the power of automation that can be achieved by submitting a digital contract through Whitespace and combining it with a rules engine, enabling fully digital and algorithmic risk selection. This is an outstanding example of how the relationships between brokers and underwriters can be brought into the 'digital room,’ people, technology and data working together."
The Whitespace Platform leads the market in being the only truly data-first placing platform, built from the ground up using APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) – the technology that connects technology systems together. With over five years in the market and 330+ entities trading structured data on the Platform, the opportunity to leverage that data in new exciting ways has become a reality.
Lee Timms, head of scaling and integration at Whitespace, said: "Auton is a fantastic example of how the integration of Verisk's solutions can support the market. Whitespace Automation provides a growing number of capabilities driven from the Whitespace Platform and we are excited about the role technology can play to augment the all-important relationships between brokers and carriers."
Establishing such an innovative digital solution for the insurance Market needed considerable collaboration between several teams. From an initial vision, through design, implementation, marketing and multiple phases of testing during 2024, McGill and Partners, Verisk and Moody’s have successfully navigated the project path together.
Charley Wright, Head of Account Management, Whitespace said: "The team involved with making the Auton solution a reality have broken new ground in multiple ways; Automation, Integration, Customer Service, Dashboards - it's very exciting to see it all come together. It highlights the power of the data-first contracts in Whitespace and how easy it is to take this data and make quick, informed , automated, decisions using it.
