Coming soon: Library and Contract Builder features available to brokers and underwriters
Whitespace Library and Contract Builder features are soon to be available for all users, including brokers and underwriters, in addition to library administrators.
"Traditionally, Word and PDF documents marked the beginning of the process. However, we've seen a shift as our customers increasingly turn to Whitespace as the starting point for the entire risk journey. That's why we've implemented the library and contract builder features into the Whitespace Platform, which will soon be accessible to underwriters and brokers.
We're thrilled to offer this new functionality at no extra cost, helping our customers unlock greater speed and efficiency in their processes."
In 2024, we introduced the Library and Contract Builder features within the Whitespace Platform, enabling users to create and manage a custom library of company-specific contract clauses, wording, and headings. This includes standardised tagging and formatting for greater efficiency and consistency.
We're excited to share that this functionality will soon be available to all users, including brokers and underwriters, in addition to library administrators.

What will the new release include?
- Side-by-side editor, allowing users to take an existing draft Contract or Template (or quote being prepared) and drag and drop Line Items from the library
- Bulk import line items from contract/templates into the library
- Import/Export both Line Items and Layout Guides as JSON
- Replicate existing Platform locking capabilities in the Library
- Greater control over line item visibility by restricting line items to a specific team
- Cross Sumo Organisation Library Line Items - share Line Items across corporates
- Option to Compare a Line Item within a Contract/Template with the Library Version
- The ability to restrict which Library Admins can create/edit Line Items with the "Line Item Type" of "Clause"
- Template/Contract Lookup Capability in the Library and Contract Builder
- Re-Designed Dashboard
- Support for hiding of contract headings, a new feature available outside of the Library in the same release
- New API support to insert Library Items into an existing Contract/Template via an integration
- Option to export list of IDs from Contract Builder - to aid integrators in getting required Library IDs to use in a repeatable integration creation process
